MTC Week 6

DEAR EVERYONE THAT I LOVE,

Mom I get on and print my emails in the morning and then sign off! I read them and come back later when Elder Howard and I have time and write my email! So length is no problem, don't worry! Thank you again for the package with all the food!! I shared with all the other Elders and they loved the brownies. They were super good. I was sitting in class and one of the Sister missionaries, Hermana Gurecki, says, "Elder Garrison, you just look so happy sitting there reading your scriptures and eating your candy!" Hahahaha it was true. So thanks. I have seen a couple Elder's wandering around with Dr. Pepper though...the real stuff...I wonder how they got it.........................

Padre, los misioneros no pueden usar "tu" o "vos." Siempre necesitamos usar "usted." Pero con los bendiciones y las oraciones, usamos "tu." Entonces, necesito entender las frases con "tu."<----------SPANISH!

So England sounds awesome!! Of course I have heard of Bath. I'm super jealous that you got to go to all those places; I would love to visit them. Next time you can take me with you. And speaking of Kings' Cross and Saul Marquez, I saw him on the first day right as he was being escorted by his host to his room! I see him at almost every meal because I go in to eat as he leaves! He's doing good but he's definitely a greenie haha. Tomorrow, I will be a missionary host who escorts the new missionaries around campus and show them the ropes! Elder Howard and I talk about it every week about how much we want to host! And just now we picked up the mail and found out we get to.

Oh and about calling you and calling cards, I'll see if they sell them in the bookstore (they sell everything and I get a major discount so I bet they do) but regardless, my branch president says we have permission to call for ten minutes at each airport I go to! So I'll be calling in SLC, Dallas, and Buenos Aires! I'll let you know about what times those will be at when I get my travel plans (HOPEFULLY this week). As for my VISA, I have a meeting on Friday with the Argentine Consul and a meeting next Tuesday about VISA stuff also! I think that means I'll be getting my VISA in time!! Saul had to fly to San Francisco today with his district to meet with the French people.

So on Sunday, the BYU Men's Chorus came and sang/performed for us for the Sunday Devotional and it was AWESOME! I saw a bunch of kids I know! Michael Chamberlain and Jacob Lythegoe (my old roommates), Roger Chu who is the BEST and killed it on his Asian flute, and Brayden Crump and his roommate Mason, as well as Chris Turley and Jacob Barazoto from my BYU wards. I booked it over to talk to them after their performance. It was awesome to see them. They all report within the next month or so!

Anyway, I am still loving it here! Every day, my knowledge of the gospel of Jesus Christ grows as does my testimony of its truthfulness. I work each day to apply its principles to my life so I can become a better tool in the Lord's hands, a better representative of my Savior, and a better person overall. I am certain that through faithful obedience to His gospel and commandments, comes the guidance that I will need as I serve Him and bring His gospel, and the happiness that follows, to those in Argentina who need it. I know that His hand has been in my life, and will continue to be as I continue to give every ounce of myself to His work and to His cause. Thank you everyone for your support, letters of encouragement, and advice. I love hearing from each and every one of you and thank everyone that takes the time out of their lives to write me a letter. I wrote all of you back today so expect letters!

I'm sick of this food. I am ALWAYS tired. But I love where I am.
Less than 3 weeks until Argentina!

Love,
Elder Ryan David Garrison
